I've been waiting for the correct photograph with which to launch the new year, and I think I have discovered it. Or it discovered me --- depending on the way you look at it. Whatever way you want to look at it. Whatever way you need to look at it.

I find myself in a rather relaxed state of mind these days. The serpent has unfurled his lock-hold, I suppose, or some benevolent force above has decided to move onto the next forest and fell some trees there. The sun burns to burn someone else. The rainy rain rains 'round the corner.

The bed is made. The carpet is clean. There is some money in the bank. The books are in order. The speakers work. My lungs go-in, go-out. My legs walk. Muscles still there, firm and taut a lot. Food still tastes and drinks get drank so I can get drunk. My boys are happy and healthy. I'm happy, too.

What is there to complain about?
